About Us

My name is Jasmine Paine and I'm the principal teacher here at the Jasmine Tui School of Dance, thanks for taking the time to look at my website.

I started my ballet training at the age of 11 at the Affleck Academy of Dancing where I remained for 15 years, during this time I studied classical ballet up to Intermediate level before embarking on my teacher training. In 2003 I graduated from Northumbria University with a BA Honours degree in Performance and finally gained my IDTA Associate dance teaching qualification in 2006. For the next few years I had a number of jobs including working as a youth worker for a local charity but continued to teach dance at weekends until eventually I went back to my routes and in 2008 established the Jasmine Tui School of Dance in Gosforth, Newcastle Upon Tyne.

The Jasmine Tui School of Dance is based at the Trinity Church on Gosforth High Street which was recently renovated with the addition of some fantastic new facilities. The studio is bright, spacious and fully equipped with professional dance barres and the Trinity Café is a great place for parents to relax whilst their children enjoy their dance class.
